Firsty

Tap a star to rate

Firsty was founded in 2023 by a team with a fintech background at Adyen, and its standout idea is a free tier: Firsty Free gives you basic, ad-supported data at no cost, a rarity in an industry where even the cheapest competitors still charge per gigabyte. It's throttled and interrupted by ads, so it's not a real alternative to a paid plan, but it works as a genuine fallback if your paid data runs out unexpectedly.

Paid tiers step up from there. Comfort+ runs about €1 a day for faster, ad-free data, and First Class, at roughly €2 a day, adds an unlimited-with-throttle allowance that slows down after around 40GB of use. Firsty also sells data credits from about €0.98 per gigabyte that don't expire, useful if you'd rather buy a chunk of data once and draw it down across several short trips instead of buying a fresh plan each time. International calling is available as an add-on, unusual for this category. Refunds apply within 14 days, full refunds if a device turns out incompatible with under 10MB used. It suits budget travelers drawn in by the free tier who then upgrade once they see what it actually delivers.
