Most eSIMs in this directory sell you a fixed bundle that expires whether you finish it or not. Drimsim works differently: you buy the SIM profile once for roughly €10, then top up a balance that gets debited per megabyte as you actually use data, across a network Drimsim says spans more than 190 countries and 400 local operators. There's no fixed package to run out of early or waste by buying too much.

The balance itself is close to non-expiring: as long as you connect to a network at least once every 360 days, it carries forward, though letting it sit idle triggers a small monthly reservation fee. That structure makes Drimsim a poor fit for anyone using a lot of data regularly, since paying per megabyte adds up fast for heavy streaming, but it's a strong fit for someone who travels a couple of times a year and doesn't want a pile of unused gigabytes evaporating every time. Calls and texts aren't included by default, but you can rent a phone number through the app for an added cost. A lifetime warranty covers a refund if the connection fails within 24 hours of first use, and once you've spent your balance, that portion isn't refundable.
